- When packing please put a sheet of stiff card behind the photo(s) to prevent bending.
- Interleave multiple photos with a sheet of clean paper.
- Never place photos face to face, they'll stick together.
- Use a protective package such as a jiffy bag.
- Mark clearly that the package contains Photos.
- Insure the contents if applicable

- Most home scanners will scan at 300 dots per inch (dpi). 300dpi is the minimum we can work with to get satisfactory results, 600 is the optimum. Scan the photo as a colour or RGB image, even if it's a black and white photo, that gives more detail.
- Once scanned, save your file as a .tiff or a . jpg file and then email it to us at info@overviewsnz.com
- Don't reduce the size of your file if Windows suggests it, we want the file in all it's fine detail, a typical file size would be upwards of 500k
